Bardin Gate ARP

How ARP works

The path of a file

  1. You leave the file

The source system leaves a finished file in the drop area you agreed on.

  2. The appliance takes it and checks it

It collects the file, hashes it, and runs the validation rules and inspection engines.

  3. A ruling is made

That route's policy decides: pass, quarantine, or hand it to a person for approval.

  4. It is delivered on the other side

The file is placed in the destination folder and checked again. It is byte for byte the file that was admitted.

Why delivery runs in turns

The two networks are never connected at the same moment, so the appliance takes turns between them. In each turn it does only that side's work, and anything unfinished waits for the next turn. Between two turns it is disconnected from both networks. Delivery is therefore cyclic, not instant. You choose the length of a turn and the batch limits, and work that does not fit a turn waits with its record. It is never reported as delivered before it is.

Connecting to your systems

Nothing is installed on your systems. The source only leaves a finished file in a folder, and the appliance connects to it.
