Bardin Gate ARP

Questions about ARP

Will my two networks be connected?

No. There is no physical connection between them. The appliance attaches to one network at a time and disconnects completely before it moves to the other.

Is anything installed on my systems?

No. The source system only leaves a finished file in a folder, and the appliance connects to that folder.

How soon does a file arrive?

In turns, not instantly, because the appliance works on one side at a time. You set the length of the turns.

If a file is rejected, is the sender told?

No, by design. The outcome shows only in the console and the audit trail, so the answer never becomes a channel between the networks.

Can a quarantined file be released?

No, by nobody. The right way is to correct the policy, if it was wrong, and have the source send the file again.

Does it need the Internet?

No. Licences, updates and the engines' signatures and rules arrive as signed offline packages.
