Bardin Gate LightPhysical Layer 1 Isolation Switch

One computer, two networks, never both at once

Light is a compact switch that connects one computer or system to either a safe network or an unsafe one. It selects the path physically and never connects both at the same time.

The problem it solves

Some computers need to reach two networks of different trust: a maintenance laptop, an analysis workstation, a lab machine. A firewall rule, a VLAN or a second network card leaves both paths alive, and one configuration mistake is enough to join them. Light takes the choice out of software. Its common port is wired to one network at a time, and the other is physically disconnected.

Three ports
Safe, Common and Unsafe Ethernet.
One path
The common port is connected to the safe or the unsafe side, never both.
Safe at power-up
It always starts on the safe network.
USB Type-C
One cable powers it and controls it.

What you get

  • Separation you can see

The connection state is set by the hardware, not by a policy that can change quietly.

  • No packet processing

No routing, bridging, filtering, inspection or address translation, so there is nothing in it to misconfigure or attack.

  • A predictable default

After any power cut it comes back on the safe network.

  • Simple control

Switch from an application on the connected computer or, on supported models, with the front-panel button.
