Applying a change

Every change is prepared, checked by the mail system itself, activated in one step and then health-checked; if the check fails, the change is rolled back. After a crash at any step, the appliance rebuilds its state from the active configuration version. The mail system's own files are generated from the configuration, never edited by hand.

The console

AreaWhat you see and do
DashboardWhat is deferred or stopped and why, what was relayed in a chosen period, how the two directions compare, and whether the peers and the appliance can work at all.
SettingsThe two peers, SMTP security, queue, retry, size and retention, each a defined setting, never a raw key.
ChangesDraft, validate, compare and apply explicitly; if a change is rejected nothing changes.
QueueEach message's state, age, direction, size and failure reason, and one safe action: Retry Now.
HealthCapacity, deferral and expiry warnings, and the health of the peers.

Every figure is read from the appliance; there is no demonstration data.
